This year is our first year on our land, so we are very much in the ‘humble beginnings’ stage of our venture. Like many businesses, we have been affected by Covid-19, so we are behind where we’d planned to be this year. Although we’re pretty much humans and alpacas in a field at the moment, we have some very exciting plans afoot!
We’ve had a lot of crias (baby alpacas) born this year – it’s been the cutest year of our lives! We plan to grow our herd year on year, as well as offer bigger and better facilities when we can continue with our building work. A bigger herd means we will be able to sell more fleece, and become a go-to site for stud services and alpaca sales.
When we’re into the swing of things, we will be looking to feed our guests with locally sourced breakfasts. We’re also going to start growing our own organic fruit and veg that you can cook whilst you’re with us – or take home when you have to go back to reality.
We’re aiming to provide more facilities for campers, including toilet and shower blocks. And at some point in the future, we are hoping to offer some sustainable, luxury accommodation for our visitors who enjoy the more comfortable things in life! Watch this space!
